Q. WHAT IS ONLINE GIVING?

Online giving is the option to make a one-time donation or recurring gift on the Hardy Street website using your debit card, credit card, or direct payments from your bank account. You can also text to give. 

Q. WHY DO I HAVE TO SET UP AN ACCOUNT AND PASSWORD?

Setting up an account and password allows you to enter a highly secured environment for your transaction. Once your account is established, all of your personal information (including credit card information) is safe and secure.

Q. IS IT SECURE?

All debit or credit card information you enter and store for online giving is secured. No one has access to your data unless authorized by you.

Q. ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN CHARGES OR FEES TO ONLINE GIVING?

Nope. You will not be charged any additional costs or fees for your donation.

Q. WHAT KIND OF DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover, American Express.

Q. CAN I USE AN ELECTRONIC CHECK?

Yes, simply choose the bank account payment option.

Q. CAN I TEXT TO GIVE?

Donors can give via text message by texting "give" to 601-202-9544

Q. CAN I TRY ONLINE GIVING BY GIVING JUST ONE TIME?

Sure. Select "One Time" in the frequency drop-down box... You can set up recurring gifts later, or you can give a single donation at any time. 

Q. IF WE WANT TO HELP PEOPLE GET OUT OF DEBT, WHY DOES H.S.B.C. ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?

Used within the appropriate parameters, debit and credit cards can be an efficient tool for payments and purchases. Many people utilize them in place of checks, and then pay off the balance in full each month. We strongly discourage those who have ongoing credit card debt from using this option. Our church is committed to helping people honor God with their finances and we offer group and personalized financial coaching through our stewardship ministry. 

Q. CAN I GIVE TO SPECIFIC FUNDS?

Yes. Simply select from the "Fund" drop-down menu.

Q. CAN I SET UP A RECURRING DONATION TO THE GENERAL FUND AS WELL AS TO ANOTHER FUND?

Yes, however, you will need to create two contribution schedules – one for your general fund and one for the designated fund.

Q. WHEN IS THE RECURRING CONTRIBUTION CHARGED TO MY ACCOUNT?

You can choose when you want the contribution to be sent. You can set up as many schedules as you would like, so it’s possible to give a monthly gift as well as a weekly one.

Q. WHAT IF I WANT TO CHANGE OR CANCEL MY ONLINE GIVING?

From the online giving window, you'll see a section on the right entitled "Recurring payments" then click on the donation you wish to change . Select the ‘edit’ button to make a change or select the gray button to delete.
