Library Lego & Book Club

Library Lego & Book Club—FAQs

What is it?
The Library Lego and Book Club at H.S.B.C. encourages school-age children to utilize the library and learn about Jesus while having fun with Legos! Each month the club members listen to and discuss a biblical truth through Bible stories found in the H.S.B.C. Library. Then, they are encouraged to build a project related to the story. All projects created in the Lego & Book Club are displayed throughout the library until the following month! Members are encouraged to check out books at every meeting! They are also given a Book Log to record the books read.

When do you meet?
The Library Lego & Book Club meets every Second Sunday in the church library from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Who can attend?
Both H.S.B.C. members and nonmembers alike are welcome to attend any of the club meetings, but everyone needs to fill out a registration form on the first visit! The club is set up ideally for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Parents are welcome to stay and participate or observe their school-age child, but this is not necessary. However, parents must drop off and pick up their child at the church library. We also have the larger Duplo blocks for younger members to enjoy with a parent!

Are there any rules?
There are a few rules we need all Library Lego & Book Club members to follow.

* A maximum of five books may be checked out at one time.
* Books must be returned each month in order to check out new books.
* Books may also be returned and checked out at any time the library is open.
* Parents or guardians must assume responsibility for lost or damaged books.
* Books may be read to the younger club members and added to the Book Log.

Does it cost anything to attend?
No! The H.S.B.C. Library Lego & Book Club is absolutely FREE to everyone!
