MY FAMILY: I met my wife ,Joyce more than 10 years ago and currently we have two boys at home, Isaiah and John and a freshman at Ole Miss.
MY STORY: In 1999, as a computer engineer in the biggest bank in China, I was not satisfied with the current life, so I went to another city to run a business with my friend. However I was cheated by them and I was very frustrated. Therefore I wanted to know the meaning of life, when I went back and saw a church on the roadside for the first time within 5 years. The post beside the gate of the church told me who is Jesus, what is the truth and what is the salvation. From then on, I went to church regularly and confessed my sin and accepted Jesus as Savior.
MY FAVORITE VERSE: Your conduct must be free from the love of money and you must be content with what you have, for he has said, “ I will never leave you and I will never abandon you .” (Hebrews 13:5 NET) . This verse encouraged me significantly when I was in a hard time in Toronto , while my spiritual condition, family life and carrier were put into the test . Some day I read the book of Hebrews 13. I was restored afterwards by this chapter.
MY FAVORITE QUOTE: Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline. Communion without confession. Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ." By Dietrich Bonhoeffer. I like the teaching that we should pay the price when following Jesus Christ. We need change in our life when converted to Christ.
MY FAVORITE MOVIE: Unbroken. The story of Wolrd War 2 survivor, Louis Zamperini, who showed his forgiveness to Japanese people.
MY FAVORITE HOBBIES: swimming , painting /calligraphy. Gardening and remodeling house.

Dawson was a computer engineer in a bank in China. On January 23, 1999, he converted to the Lord Jesus Christ by God's grace, and began his seminary study in Moody Bible Institute in August of 2008 in Chicago, IL. After graduation in June 2011, he came to Mississippi with his family and started church planting under the supervision of the Mississippi Baptist Convention. On January 8, 2012, Hattiesburg Chinese Christian church was planted and launched with the sponsorship of Hardy Street Baptist Church. He and his wife, Joyce, are bringing up three boys: Paul, John and Isaiah.
